Can a Card Game Teach Emotional Intelligence?
Conversational EQ is a card game that trains your brain for emotional intelligence. Every online course comes with a 54 Card Deck. You become a member and can access all of our online resources. Conversational EQ is part of the YouEQ game universe.
What problem are you solving?
Emotional intelligence is definitely a hot topic, but it's more than just a buzzword for executives in Fortune 500 companies. It is an extremely important skill and will only become more critical as it is recognized as essential for professional and personal success. However, learning emotional intelligence can be a challenge for a variety of reasons. While trying to teach emotional intelligence and conversational skills, we began experimenting with tools and found a simple card game was the solution, again, for a variety of reasons.
Who is this for?
Conversational EQ is used by psychologists, executive coaches, professional trainers and educators. The game system is patent pending.
Who created this?
Conversational EQ was created by Ed Kang after he licensed the core methodology from Dietrich Desmarais, founder of Emotional Wealth Management Inc. (EWMI), and executive coach specializing in the neuroscience of high performance and emotional intelligence. Ed Kang began using his creation to assist his own executive coaching and training clients and after seeing its success, began certifying others to do the same. The product and company were then acquired by YouEQ, an employee engagement and productivity games company, which Ed Kang also joined.
How do you know this works?
The creators have decades of collective experience in leadership, business, coaching, social science and neuroscience research. The initial versions of Conversational EQ were tested extensively with focus groups. We also continue to access research and articles from other credible sources that validate our methodology. How do I get a deck and learn?
Card decks are acquired when you register for an online course. Learning and application is supported through a growing network of Certified Trainers. We've done this because naturally, EQTunement is best learned and taught conversationally. Once you register for online training you will receive a deck. Then you can log into our members area and access all our resources.
How long does it take to learn?
Conversational EQ is broken down into Level 0, I, II and III training. Depending upon your goals, each level takes roughly about two hours of training—a total of eight hours for the first four levels. Most people however take an additional eight hours of training to really retain the information and reinforce the training.
How much does it cost?
Online training courses for Levels 0, I, II, and III—, including a 54 Card Deck—are available for $95 per Level. Additional support is accessed through our directory of Certified Trainers—each trainer supports Conversational EQ in conjunction with their own practice.
